Sealed Membrane for Crawl Spaces

Exposed dirt in crawl spaces is an entry point for radon. We encapsulate crawl spaces as part of the process of expelling radon through the mitigation system.

When the conditions are correct, a radon mitigation fan may be mounted in an interior space such as a garage attic, venting out of the garage roof.

Radon Removal in Northeast Iowa

How Do You Remove Radon From Your Home?

The first step in removing radon is testing. If you haven't yet, give us a call and we'll help you get your home tested for radon to determine your home's levels.

We'll then determine what is needed to successfully remove radon from your home. Radon will follow the path of least resistance, so it's our job to trap it and give it a route out of your home.

If you have a crawlspace, we'll need to fully encapsulate it. If you have a basement, we'll seal all of the ways that radon enters your home (sump pumps, cracks, etc). We'll then drill a hole in your basement to route a pipe to extract the radon gas using a radon fan.

The fan will be mounted in your attic or outside your home, depending on the least intrusive way to run the radon pipe through your home. The fan runs 24/7 to remove radon from your home, bringing it to safe levels.
